Matt Mollman is the President of EnerQuest Oil & Gas and he has worked continuously as a practicing petroleum engineer for the last 37 years. He has extensive experience in drilling and completion design, production enhancement, reservoir engineering and economic evaluation all covering many of the onshore basins in the US and including the Gulf of Mexico, Australia, Canada and South America.

Mr. Mollman started his career after graduating from the University of Oklahoma in May 1982 with a Petroleum Engineering degree. He immediately commenced work for Energy Reserves Group in OKC where we he was responsible for all drilling, completions and production for 200 operated wells in Northwestern Oklahoma and South-Central Kansas. BHP Petroleum (Americas) purchased the company and Mr. Mollman accepted an assignment in 1987 as a Staff Engineer working under the Chief Engineer at BHP’s corporate headquarters in Houston performing reserve appraisals on new discoveries and New Venture prospect evaluations in Columbia and Argentina. After 2 years in Houston, Mr. Mollman accepted a transfer to BHP Petroleum’s global headquarters in Melbourne, Australia and worked as a Sr. Production Technologist and as a Sr. Reservoir Engineer designing development plans for new offshore discoveries in the Timor Sea. Mr. Mollman was then transferred back to Houston and was exposed to offshore drilling and completion operations before being assigned to the New Ventures Group to work on development projects in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Canada.

To reduce his time away from home, Mr. Mollman relocated his family back home to OKC in 1993 and took a reservoir engineering position with Enron Oil & Gas to evaluate producing property acquisition opportunities and prepare new well reserve appraisals. Two years later, he accepted an offer from a smaller privately held company named Magic Circle Energy to appraise, evaluate and enhance their producing property base which was primarily centered in NW Oklahoma. Upon the sale of Magic Circle Energy in 1996, EnerQuest Oil & Gas, LLC was formed and Mr. Mollman served as Vice President and was responsible for all technical and operational aspects of the company. He recently assumed the title of President and became the sole owner upon the retirement of Greg Olson, the prior President of both EnerQuest and Magic Circle Energy.
